Koo Chinese Academy (KooChinese.com ) has immediate openings for Chinese Language Teachers to teach K – 9 students Mandarin Chinese language and cultures. The classes will be on-site and in-person in our center in Basking Ridge, New Jersey.
We offer competitive salaries and bonuses and sponsor OPT and H1B for our employees.
Flexible working hours:
During School-year:
- Monday through Friday 3 – 6:30 pm, and/or on Saturdays 1 – 5:30 pm.
- Applicants can choose their own working days.
- Applicants also have the opportunity to teach private lessons.
These are all long-term job opportunities with the possibility to convert to a full-time jobs.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Teach Mandarin Chinese language and cultures to school children during after-school hours, on weekends, during summer camp, and/or in private lessons.
- Work with a team of teachers to design and develop curriculum and lesson plans for the Chinese Language classes.
- Manage school children and their activities in the after-school settings and/or in summer camp
- Communicate with students and their parents
Qualifications:
- Self-motivated, and have the ability to multitask.
- Fluent Mandarin-Chinese Speakers
- Bachelor’s degree or above
- Great team player and a faster learner with positive energy and enthusiasm in teaching.
- Loving, caring, and enjoy being with children
- Being experienced in teaching Chinese as a foreign language in a classroom setting is a big plus.
- A College degree in education and/or Language is a big Plus
- New Jersey resident only!
- Fully vaccinated against COVID-19!
